Something Good Is Happening — and You’re Already Part of It
Long before there were councils, rolls, or paperwork, our people knew how to be together. Villages along the rivers, across the valleys, and beside the coast each cared for their own — and when it mattered, they gathered, talked, and found the way forward as one people.
That way of being never disappeared. It’s been carried quietly in our families all along.
Now it has a home.
It’s called One Circle.
One Circle is a place for every Salinan — every family, every generation, every community — no matter where you live or which group you belong to. No sides. No gatekeepers. Just us.
Here’s what we’re building together:
A land trust for all Salinan people. Land in our homeland, held for everyone — a place to gather, learn, restore, and belong. People are already coming home and buying land in the homeland, including a known village district. The return has begun.
A way to find each other again. We’re spread across counties and miles, busy with work, kids, and bills. One Circle is building a modern way to stay connected — online for those who use it, a phone call or a visit for those who don’t — so no one is left out of the conversation.
A way of walking together. Simple agreements about how we treat one another: listen first, speak truth kindly, leave old fights at the gate, and think of those who came before us and those yet to come.
And the timing matters. There’s a real opportunity in front of us right now — one that could fund years of this work. When we stand together, we’re ready for it.
You don’t need to sign up for anything to belong. You already belong. That’s the whole point.
Come see what we’re building, add your voice, and help shape what comes next.
We are still here. Let’s be here together.
